Vanessa Cornell
Artist Statement
"For the past 5 years my practice has involved an exploration of ways to incorporate digital and analogue practices together, while working with both painting and photography. This exploration has taken form in a variety of manifestations including; collage, image transfer, screen-printing as well as physical paint on mounted photographs, printed canvases and other digital outputs.
The culmination of my efforts and “mixed media” approach create honest, unapologetic and often satirical narratives of women, primarily in their domestic spaces. While also continuing my on-going investigation of the commonly clichéd female identity, including: beauty, aging, sexuality, and domesticity." Vanessa Cornell 2021
