KAREN BURK / FREDERICTON, NB
Karen Burk’s work can be found in public and private collections in North America, Great Britain, France and China. She has been a ceramics teacher and artist for over 38 years and is currently working full time in her studio at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre in Fredericton.
Karen has lectured and given workshops on ceramic technique as well as on the creative process in colleges and universities across Canada and has acted as artist in residence in ceramics centers in Alberta and France. In 2008 she received a grant from the New Brunswick Arts Board for senior artists who have made a nationally or internationally recognized contribution to their discipline. Recently, three of her large platters were purchased for the permanent collection of the Canadian embassy in London England.
