Meet the Designer
An East Coast girl living on the edge of Canada, Kim has always been an artist at heart. She was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and studied Graphic Design in Prince Edward Island. She then became an entrepreneur at the early age of 22 when she founded Whink, a gem of a boutique in the heart of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
Kim's passion for buying jewelry inspired her to design and create the stunning Dory Blue Labradorite Jewelry Collection. Dory Blue Jewelry features raw, high quality Labradorite, named for the place it was discovered, Labrador. The great success of this line of semi-precious stones led to the creation of Sparkes Design which includes other exotic gemstones from around the world.
Kim’s designs are distinct, timeless, and original. These pieces are sparked from Kim's imagination and brought into reality through sketches through to production.
