Erica Stanley creates recycled gold wedding rings for clients, transforming their shared story into continuous circles: rings. Her respect for the earth influences her efforts to be as eco-conscious as possible. Her one-of-a-kind artwork is constructed mainly from silver, gold, re-purposed gold, and mixed media, including: feathers, stones, buttons and found objects. Her work deals with ideas around natural beauty and place, physicality and energetic protection. Aidan Stanley is a graduate of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) in Fredericton, NB and is the recipient of several prestigous scholarships and awards. In 2012, Aidan went north with his wife Erica to teach jewellery and metal work at Inuksuk high school while Erica taught jewellery and metal work at Nunavut Arctic College. In 2015 the pair returned to New Brunswick to establish a studio practice and artists-in-residency program aimed at exposing metal artists to the beauty of NB.
